Satellite Healthcare Dialysis Centers

Satellite Healthcare operates high-quality, state-of-the-art, patient-friendly dialysis centers that meet the long-term clinical needs of more than 10,000 patients with chronic kidney disease.

Howell Electric was selected to provide pre-construction services, design services, electrical construction, nurse call systems, and fire life safety systems for 29 dialysis centers throughout California.

These facilities feature: 24 to 40 chair dialysis stations, central supervised patient care, dialysis prep, nurse’s stations, water treatment rooms, bio waste rooms, patient training, reception areas, and waiting areas. High-end Class A lighting systems are used throughout the facilities to enhance patient comfort.

MEP systems consist of medical grade OSHPD 3 electrical wiring systems, nurse call systems, fire life safety systems, and high capacity RO/DI water systems.

Stanford Menlo Medical Clinics

Menlo Park, CA

Menlo Medical clinics provide exceptional primary medical care for the community with more than 50 physicians covering 20 disciplines. Several generations of Peninsula families have come to appreciate both the convenience and high quality care offered by the clinics.

Howell Electric was selected to provide electrical construction and fire life safety systems for two new Menlo Medical facilities.

The 28,000sf Middlefield Road clinic features: x-ray suites, mammography suites, diagnostic labs, exam rooms, treatment rooms, radiology labs, and a large capacity reception area. This clinic combines state-of-the-art medical technology with very high-end construction finishes to create one of the best facilities in the Bay Area.

MEP systems consisted of electrical distributions and connection to a large quantity of medical diagnostic equipment, high quality indirect lighting throughout the facility, fire life safety systems, and all systems built to OSHPD 3 standards.

O'Connor Hospital MRI Suite

 San Jose, CA

O’Connor imaging services plays a key role in the hospital’s standing as a healthcare leader in Santa Clara County.

Howell Electric was selected to provide electrical construction and fire life safety systems for the installation of O’Connor Hospital’s new state-of-the-art Siemens 1.5 Tesla MRI. The new open MRI allows for faster scan times, feet first entry, and higher resolution scans without the use of ionizing radiation.

This project features: MRI suite, RF shield room, control room, reception area, changing rooms, administrative support areas, and restrooms.

MEP systems consisted of a new long distance electrical service from the hospital basement, Class A high quality indirect lighting system, fire life safety systems, a remote MRI chiller, shield room grounding, all required controls, raceway, and wiring for the MRI control room.

Valley Radiology Centers

San Jose,  CA

Valley Radiology Centers offer a full spectrum of diagnostic imaging and radiological procedures. It is equipped with some of the most advanced radiological imaging systems available. The Siemens Somatom Emotion 16 is the highest rated 16-slice CT scanner in the industry.

Howell Electric was selected to provide pre-constructions services, design services, electrical construction, fire life safety systems, controls, raceway, and wiring for Valley Radiology’s new state-of-the-art imaging center.

This 8,000sf imaging center features: large MRI suite with shield room, CT scanner suite, fluoroscopy suite, ultrasound suite, control rooms, exam rooms, and patient reception areas.

MEP systems consisted of 1200Amp electrical service, power connection to the new Siemens Magnatom Symphony 1.5 Tesla MRI, power connection to the Siemens Somatom Emotion 16 CT scanner, power connection to the Siemens Axiom fluoroscopy unit, O2 sensing systems, all required controls, raceway, and wiring from the imaging equipment to the control rooms, fire life safety systems, Class A lighting systems throughout the center, and all electrical systems designed and installed to OSHPD 3 standards.

Saint Louise Hospital Inpatient CT Scanner

Saint Louise Regional Hospital is a 93-bed acute care hospital offering a wide range of services to residents in both Santa Clara and San Benito Counties.

Howell Electric was selected to provide electrical construction, controls, raceways, and wiring for St. Louise Regional Hospital’s new state-of-the-art Siemens Somatom Sensation 64-slice CT scanner.

This project features: new inpatient CT suite and control rooms, project phasing in an active radiology department, infection control barriers, and installation of a temporary CT scanner outside of the hospital.

MEP systems consisted of new long distance electrical service routed through occupied hospital corridors and other spaces to the hospital basement, electrical controls, raceways, and wiring from the imaging equipment to the new control room, power to a remote chiller located on the roof, power connections to a temporary CT scanner outside of the hospital, Class A high quality indirect lighting systems, and all electrical systems installed per OSHPD standards.

Sequoia Hospital Inpatient CT Scanner

Sequoia Hospital is an accredited, not-for-profit community hospital providing innovative and exceptional healthcare to Bay Area residents. Sequoia ranked among the top 5 percent of hospitals nationwide.

Howell Electric was selected to provide electrical construction, controls, raceways, and wiring for Sequoia Hospital’s new Siemens Sensation CT scanner.

This project features: remodel of an outdated angiography suite to accommodate a new CT scanner, construction of a new control room, and extensive containment and infection control measures in order to prevent any impact on critical procedures taking place in adjacent rooms.

MEP systems consisted of new long distance electrical service routed through occupied hospital corridors and other spaces to the hospital basement, electrical controls, raceways, and wiring from the imaging equipment to the new control room, power to a remote chiller located in the basement, and all electrical systems installed per OSHPD standards.
