Grail is a life sciences company that aims to detect cancer early when it can be cured.

They use the power of high-intensity sequencing, population-scale clinical trials and state of the art computer science and data science to enhance the scientific understanding of cancer biology.

Howell Electric was selected to provide pre-construction services, design engineering, data cabling, and a standard conference room audio video compliment for Grail’s 130,000sf Mountain View facility in California.

The network cabling plant consisted of 310+ Category 6, 1600+ 6A and 145+ Category 7 multi-cable locations. One high capacity server room with 24 four-post server cabinets and eight telco racks for station cabling. The room also featured hot/cold isle containment with interconnected with copper and fiber optic feeders between MDF, IDF and MPOE.

1440 Multiversity

The 1440 Multiversity’s holistically inspired 15 building learning center is nestled in the peaceful Scott’s Valley Redwood Forest on a 75-acre campus. 1440 is part conference center, part resort, part school, part retreat center, and part surprise.

Howell Electric was selected to provide pre-construction services, electrical engineering, PG&E coordination, electrical construction, data systems, fiber optic network systems, fire alarm systems, AV systems, CCTV, security and access systems for the new 1440 campus.

The overall campus includes 15 extraordinary wooden timber buildings totaling over 300,000sf, five multi-story lodging buildings with over 300 guest rooms, 25,000sf auditorium, 40,000sf education building with 12 large classrooms, 25,000sf dining hall with 4,000sf commercial kitchen, 20,000sf administration building, 9,000sf mediation chapel, 12,000sf four-building spa facility with 22 treatment rooms, two retail stores, two cafes, fitness center, teaching kitchen, outdoor amphitheater, outdoor cathedral, and heated 60’ infinity spa.

Howell Electric was selected to provide pre-construction services, design engineering, data cabling, fiber optic cabling, AV systems, and commissioning for Prothena’s beautiful new 83,000sf three floor corporate office and life science facility.

The network cabling plant consisted of 825+ Category 6 multi-cable locations, server racks, cable tray, and multiple IDF’s interconnected with copper and fiber optic feeders.

Additionally, Howell was requested to provide and install a turnkey audio video solution for multiple conference rooms, including rooftop satellite connection and intercom for main entry.

Pearl Therapeutics, an AstraZeneca group company, is developing unique dual and triple combination products for the treatment of widely prevalent respiratory diseases.

Howell Electric was selected to provide pre-construction, design engineering, data cabling and standard AV compliment for Pearl’s 60,000sf cGMP facility in Redwood City California. In addition, we maintain the cabling infrastructure, and manage all ongoing moves and changes.

The network cabling plant consists of 700+ Category 6 multi-cable locations, one main server room feed, and two IDF’s; these are all interconnected with copper and OM3 armored fiber optic feeder cabling that has the ability to run layered wireless networks simultaneously.

Our AV installation consisted of 10 mid to large sized conference rooms with large format high definition displays. All 10 rooms have digital room scheduling, and video conferencing capabilities. In addition, a 180” TV was installed in the all hands meeting room including a HDMI transmitter, wireless microphone presenter, audio functions, and video conference linking.

The network cabling plant consisted of 753+ Category 5E multi-cable locations, server racks, cable tray, server room interconnect with copper and fiber optic feeders. Additionally, 24 room schedulers were installed in the window trim for a floating display. AV cabling and components was provided for all conference rooms.
